Tom’s son Peter began operating the business in the late 1950’s and his two sons Brock and Todd joined him in 1985 and 1987 respectively.
Todd and Brock purchased the business from Peter in 1990. Each generation has grown the business and adapted to the changing insurance and technology landscape.
T.G. Colley & Sons Limited and Integrisure Group Insurance Inc. are indirectly owned by McDougall Insurance Brokers Limited. Definity Financial Corporation, the parent company of Definity Insurance Company o/a Economical Insurance, indirectly owns a majority interest in McDougall Insurance Company Limited, and from time to time, provides loans and other financial assistance to McDougall Insurance Company in support of its business.
